The Devils Lake Firebirds (Devils Lake, ND) basketball crushed the host Turtle Mountain Braves (Belcourt, ND), 73-52 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Firebirds (15-2) will now prepare for their test against Hillsboro/Central Valley (Buxton, ND). The H-CV Burros go into the A Region 2 test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, Hillsboro/Central Valley walloped Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg (Mayville, ND), 64-55, in a non-league test.
The Braves now own a 3-13 record. They play next when they host Bottineau for a A Region 3 test on Thursday, February 1. Turtle Mountain will encounter a Braves/Stars squad coming off a 70-37 league win over New Town (New Town, ND). The Braves/Stars record now stands at 8-6.
