East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Riverside Rebels (Lake City, AR), 72-58 in a league bout.

With the win, East Poinsett County upgrades its record to 12-10 on the season. The Warriors travel to Rector (Rector, AR) to clash with the Cougars in a 2A Region 3 bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 12-11. Rector lost 68-52 in their recent league bout against Buffalo Island Central (Monette, AR)

Next up, the Rebels clash with the Earle Bulldogs (Earle, AR) in a 2A Region 3 bout, on Friday, February 2. Riverside will attempt to upgrade on its 24-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 66-56 league loss to Bay (Bay, AR).
