The Lakeville South Cougars basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Eastview Lightning to 69 in the Cougars non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Farmington for a AAAA Section 1 contest on Friday, February 2. Lakeville South will battle a Tigers team coming off a 86-79 non-league loss to Shakopee (Shakopee, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 13-4.

The Lightning (3-12) will now prepare for their contest against Prior Lake (Prior Lake, MN). The Lakers come into the non-league contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Prior Lake was nudged by Eagan (Eagan, MN), 77-73, in a non-league contest.
