English Valleys Bears (North English, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Tri-County Trojans (Thornburg, IA), 60-35 in a league bout.

With the win, English Valleys upgrades its record to 4-14 on the season. The Bears host North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA) to play the Warhawks in a South Iowa Cedar bout on Thursday, February 1. The Warhawks go into the bout with a record of 12-5. North Mahaska won 81-41 in their recent league bout against Colfax-Mingo (Colfax, IA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Moulton-Udell Eagles (Moulton, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Tri-County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-18 season record.
