With the victory, San Diego upgrades its record to 24-6 on the campaign. The Vaqueros travel to Santa Gertrudis Academy (Kingsville, TX) to play the Lions in a 3A Region IV District 30 bout on Friday, February 2. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 16-11. Santa Gertrudis Academy won 66-45 in their recent league bout against Hebbronville (Hebbronville, TX)

Next up, the Fightin' Jerseys play the London Pirates (Corpus Christi, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 30 bout, on Friday, February 2. Falfurrias will attempt to upgrade on its 25-4 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 17-13 record after their 74-21 league win over Banquete (Banquete, TX).
