Mendenhall Tigers (Mendenhall, MS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Forest Bearcats (Forest, MS), 68-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mendenhall upgrades its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Tigers host Pearl (Pearl, MS) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 17-9. Pearl lost 66-64 in their recent league bout against Petal (Petal, MS)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Quitman Panthers (Quitman, MS) in a 4A Region 5 bout, on Friday, February 2. Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 9-14 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 18-6 record after their 68-49 league win over Forest (Forest, MS).
