The Genoa Area Comets (Genoa, OH) basketball crushed the host Maumee Panthers (Maumee, OH), 74-39 in Tuesday's league test.

The Comets (11-4) will now prepare for their test against Rossford (Rossford, OH). The Bulldogs go into the Northern Buckeye test with a 1-14 record. In their last test, Rossford was trounced by Fostoria (Fostoria, OH), 74-55, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they host Lake for a Northern Buckeye test on Friday, February 2. Maumee will encounter a Flyers squad coming off a 49-47 league win over Eastwood (Pemberville, OH). The Flyers record now stands at 10-5.
