Virginia High School Basketball - George Wythe crushes Grayson County

George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), 70-18 in a league bout.
With the win, George Wythe upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Maroons host Giles (Pearisburg, VA) to clash with the Spartans in a Mountain Empire bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 3-13.
Next up, the Blue Devils clash with the Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) in a Mountain Empire bout, on Friday, February 2. Grayson County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Maroon Tide go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 75-47 league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA).
