Gunter Tigers (Gunter, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Howe Bulldogs (Howe, TX), 54-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Gunter upgrades its record to 21-9 on the season. The Tigers travel to Bonham (Bonham, TX) to clash with the Warriors in a 3A Region II District 11 bout on Friday, February 2. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 17-14. Bonham lost 61-36 in their recent league bout against Bells (Bells, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Blue Ridge Tigers (Blue Ridge, TX) in a 3A Region II District 11 bout, on Friday, February 2. Howe will attempt to upgrade on its 18-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 16-12 record after their 56-42 league loss to Leonard (Leonard, TX).
