The Hartfield Academy Hawks basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Presbyterian Christian Bobcats to 35 in the Hawks league victory on Tuesday.
The Hawks now sport a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jackson Prep for a MAIS 6A District 1 contest on Friday, February 2. Hartfield Academy will battle a Patriots team coming off a 52-39 league loss to Jackson Academy (Jackson, MS). The Patriots record now stands at 20-8.
The Bobcats (22-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph Catholic (Madison, MS). The Bruins come into the MAIS 6A District 1 contest with a 20-7 record. In their last contest, St. Joseph Catholic was defeated by Madison-Ridgeland Academy (Madison, MS), 51-35, in a league contest.
