Health Sciences Surgeons (San Diego, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting San Diego Academy Cavaliers (National City, CA), 35-18 in a league bout.

With the victory, Health Sciences upgrades its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Surgeons travel to Guajome Park Academy (Vista, CA) to play the Frogs in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Frogs come into the bout with a record of 5-15. Guajome Park Academy lost 56-33 in their recent non-league bout against O'Farrell Charter (San Diego, CA)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Lions (San Diego, CA) in a Pioneer bout, on Thursday, February 1. San Diego Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 1-16 record after their 46-39 league loss to King-Chavez Community (San Diego, CA).
