Hokes Bluff Eagles (Hokes Bluff, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Southside Panthers (Gadsden, AL), 65-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hokes Bluff upgrades its record to 15-8 on the season. The Eagles host Sand Rock (Leesburg, AL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-25. Sand Rock lost 83-65 in their recent non-league bout against Sylvania (Sylvania, AL)

Next up, the Panthers play the Lincoln Golden Bears (Lincoln, AL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Southside will attempt to upgrade on its 6-19 season record.
