The Northwood Panthers basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Holston Cavaliers to 54 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Honaker for a Hogoheegee contest on Wednesday, January 31. Northwood will battle a Tigers team coming off a 60-29 league win over Patrick Henry (Glade Spring, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 11-8.

The Cavaliers (6-14) will now prepare for their contest against J.I. Burton (Norton, VA). The Black Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, J.I. Burton was nudged by Rye Cove (Clinchport, VA), 70-63, in a league contest.
