The Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS) basketball crushed the visiting Newton Railroaders (Newton, KS), 77-31 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Salthawks (10-3) will now prepare for their test against South (Salina, KS). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 2-11 record. In their last test, South was trounced by Maize South (Wichita, KS), 61-29, in a non-league test.
The Railroaders now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Haysville Campus for a non-league test on Friday, February 2. Newton will encounter a Colts squad coming off a 55-52 non-league win over Goddard (Goddard, KS). The Colts record now stands at 9-4.
