The Mahwah Thunderbirds basketball team scored 39 points and held the host Indian Hills Braves to 37 in the Thunderbirds non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pascack Hills for a Big North - Patriot contest on Thursday, February 1. Mahwah will battle a Broncos team coming off a 64-41 league loss to Ramsey (Ramsey, NJ). The Broncos record now stands at 8-7.

The Braves (7-11) will now prepare for their contest against River Dell (Oradell, NJ). The Golden Hawks enter the Big North - Patriot contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, River Dell nudged Westwood (Washington Township, NJ), 49-45, in a league contest.
