Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Wahluke Warriors (Mattawa, WA) and the host Kiona-Benton Bears (Benton City, WA), saw Wahluke's basketball squad hold off Kiona-Benton by a tally of 57-53.

With the victory, Wahluke improves its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Royal (Royal City, WA) to confront the Knights in a 1A South Central - East challenge on Friday, February 2. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 16-4. Royal won 56-52 in their recent league challenge against Connell (Connell, WA)

Next up, the Bears confront the Zillah Leopards (Zillah, WA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. Kiona-Benton will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Leopards come into the challenge with a 18-0 record after their 86-51 league win over Wapato (Wapato, WA).
