Kentucky High School Basketball - Lee County ripped by Powell County

The Powell County Pirates basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Lee County Bobcats to 51 in the Pirates league triumph on Tuesday.
The Pirates now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Breathitt County for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 1. Powell County will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 68-61 non-league loss to Hazard (Hazard, KY). The Bobcats record now stands at 12-8.
The Bobcats (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Estill County (Irvine, KY). The Engineers enter the District 56 contest with a 14-7 record. In their last contest, Estill County triumphed over Owsley County (Booneville, KY), 72-55, in a league contest.
