Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Lehighton knocked off by North Schuylkill

The North Schuylkill Spartans basketball team scored 78 points and held the host Lehighton Indians to 70 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jim Thorpe for a Schuylkill County 1 contest on Friday, February 2. North Schuylkill will meet a Olympians team coming off a 78-47 league loss to Blue Mountain (Schuylkill Haven, PA). The Olympians record now stands at 1-19.

The Indians (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Pine Grove (Pine Grove, PA). The Cardinals enter the Schuylkill County 1 contest with a 1-17 record. In their last contest, Pine Grove was outscored by Tamaqua (Tamaqua, PA), 59-31, in a league contest.
