New Bern Christian Academy (New Bern, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Liberty Christian Academy Heat (Richlands, NC), 62-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Bern Christian Academy upgrades its record to 16-7 on the season. The travel to Community Christian (Wilson, NC) to clash with the Cyclones in a Mid-Atlantic Christian - 2A South bout on Friday, February 2. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 19-1. Community Christian won 84-44 in their recent league bout against Christ Covenant (Winterville, NC)

Next up, the Heat clash with the Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors (Jacksonville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Liberty Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Conquerors go into the bout with a 9-12 record after their 51-30 non-league win over Fellowship Christian Academy (Jacksonville, NC).
