Vermont High School Basketball - Long Trail can't hold off Mill River

The Mill River Minutemen basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Long Trail to 66 in the Minutemen non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Minutemen now sport a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Rutland for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Mill River will battle a Golden Horde team coming off a 71-41 non-league win over Leland & Gray (Townshend, VT). The Golden Horde record now stands at 12-2.

The (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Proctor (Proctor, VT). The Phantoms enter the Southern Vermont - D contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Proctor was nudged by Otter Valley (Brandon, VT), 49-35, in a non-league contest.
