South Carolina High School Basketball - Loris nips Waccamaw

January 30, 2024: Pawley's Island, SC 29585

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Loris Lions (Loris, SC) and the host Waccamaw Warriors (Pawley's Island, SC), saw Loris's basketball squad hold off Waccamaw by a tally of 61-58.

With the victory, Loris improves its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Lions host Georgetown (Georgetown, SC) to play the Bulldogs in a AAA Region 7 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 11-11. Georgetown won 58-44 in their recent league challenge against Manning (Manning, SC)

Next up, the Warriors play the Academic Magnet Raptors (North Charleston, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. Waccamaw will attempt to improve on its 5-16 season record. The Raptors come into the challenge with a 1-21 record after their 85-14 league loss to Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC).
