The Marist RedHawks (Chicago, IL) basketball nipped the host Niles Notre Dame Dons (Niles, IL), 47-44 in Tuesday's league test.
The RedHawks (20-4) will now prepare for their test against Benet Academy (Lisle, IL). The Redwings go into the East Suburban Catholic test with a 20-3 record. In their last test, Benet Academy got by St. Patrick (Chicago, IL), 59-42, in a league test.
The Dons now own a 12-14 record. They play next when they travel to Joliet Catholic for a East Suburban Catholic test on Friday, February 2. Niles Notre Dame will encounter a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 51-48 league loss to Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 8-15.
