Ocracoke Dolphins (Ocracoke, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mattamuskeet Lakers (Swan Quarter, NC), 59-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Ocracoke upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Dolphins host Columbia (Columbia, NC) to play the Wildcats in a 1A Atlantic 5 bout on Friday, February 2. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Columbia lost 74-45 in their recent league bout against Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC)

Next up, the Lakers play the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders (Belhaven, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Mattamuskeet will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 19-4 record after their 59-53 league loss to Ridgecroft (Ahoskie, NC).
