West Virginia High School Basketball - Pocahontas County overwhelmed by Midland Trail

January 30, 2024: Hico, WV 25854

The Pocahontas County Warriors basketball team (Dunmore, WV), was overwhelmed 75-42 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV)

The Patriots now possess a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hoover for a Cardinal battle on Friday, February 2. Midland Trail will battle a Huskies team coming off a 61-48 league win over Nicholas County (Summersville, WV). The Huskies record now stands at 9-5.

The Warriors (0-11) will now prepare for their battle against Bath County (Hot Springs, VA). The Chargers come into the non-league battle with a 9-10 record. In their last battle, Bath County was overwhelmed by Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA), 86-55, in a league battle.
