The San Gabriel Matadors basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Montebello Oilers to 43 in the Matadors league victory on Tuesday.

The Matadors now sport a 13-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alhambra for a Almont contest on Friday, February 2. San Gabriel will battle a Moors team coming off a 89-59 league loss to Schurr (Montebello, CA). The Moors record now stands at 12-14.

The Oilers (12-15) will now prepare for their contest against Mark Keppel (Alhambra, CA). The Aztecs come into the Almont contest with a 21-5 record. In their last contest, Mark Keppel triumphed over Bell Gardens (Bell Gardens, CA), 72-26, in a league contest.
