The New Manchester Jaguar (Douglasville, GA) basketball nipped the host Newnan Cougars (Newnan, GA), 61-57 in Tuesday's league test.
The Jaguar (9-12) will now prepare for their test against South Paulding (Douglasville, GA). The Spartans go into the AAAAAA Region 5 test with a 15-7 record. In their last test, South Paulding got by Paulding County (Dallas, GA), 68-49, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 11-12 record. They play next when they host Paulding County for a AAAAAA Region 5 test on Friday, February 2. Newnan will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 68-49 league loss to South Paulding (Douglasville, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 6-15.
