Waltonville Spartans (Waltonville, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Odin/Patoka (Odin, IL), 77-66 in a league bout.

With the victory, Waltonville upgrades its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Grayville (Grayville, IL) to play the Bison in a Midland Trail bout on Friday, February 2. The Bison come into the bout with a record of 14-12. Grayville lost 57-46 in their recent non-league bout against Carmi-White County (Carmi, IL)

Next up, the play the Sandoval Blackhawks (Sandoval, IL) in a Midland Trail bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Odin/Patoka will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Blackhawks come into the bout with a 7-15 record after their 55-38 non-league win over Maryville Christian (Maryville, IL).
