Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Patriot Pioneers (Nokesville, VA) and the visiting Unity Reed Lions (Manassas, VA), saw Patriot's basketball squad wallop Unity Reed by a count of 79-25.

With the victory, Patriot upgrades its record to 15-4 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Hayfield (Alexandria, VA) to play the Hawks in a District 3 challenge on Wednesday, January 31. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 13-5. Hayfield won 65-40 in their recent league challenge against Falls Church (Falls Church, VA)

Next up, the Lions play the Battlefield Bobcats (Haymarket, VA) in a Cedar Run challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Unity Reed will attempt to upgrade on its 4-17 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 10-11 record after their 59-46 league loss to Freedom (South Riding, VA).
