Arizona High School Basketball - Tolleson can't hold off Valley Vista

The Valley Vista Monsoon basketball team scored 46 points and held the host Tolleson Wolverines to 45 in the Monsoon league triumph on Tuesday.

The Monsoon now sport a 7-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shadow Ridge for a 6A West Valley contest on Thursday, February 1. Valley Vista will battle a Stallions team coming off a 58-54 league win over West Point (Avondale, AZ). The Stallions record now stands at 12-11.

The Wolverines (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against Cesar Chavez (Laveen, AZ). The Champions enter the 6A West Valley contest with a 21-2 record. In their last contest, Cesar Chavez nudged Maricopa (Maricopa, AZ), 73-65, in a league contest.
