WestSide Renegades (Clear Fork, WV) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wyoming East Warriors (New Richmond, WV), 49-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, WestSide upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Renegades travel to Phelps (Phelps, KY) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 11-8. Phelps lost 78-57 in their recent league bout against Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY)

Next up, the Warriors play the Mount View Golden Knights (Welch, WV) in a Freelance bout, on Friday, February 2. Wyoming East will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Golden Knights come into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 40-30 league win over Montcalm (Montcalm, WV).
