Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY), 69-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Newburgh Free Academy upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Goldbacks host Goshen Central (Goshen, NY) to play the Gladiators in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Gladiators come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Kingston Tigers (Kingston, NY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Beacon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
