In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) basketball squad edged the visiting Grants Pirates (Grants, NM), by a count of 67-66.
The Hornets (8-7) will now prepare for their outing against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Jaguars go into the non-league outing with a 1-8 record. In their last outing, Valencia was tipped by St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM), 56-25, in a non-league outing.
The Pirates now hold a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Belen for a non-league outing on Friday, February 2. Grants will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 63-26 non-league loss to Highland (Albuquerque, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 5-3.
