The Sevastopol Pioneers (Sturgeon Bay, WI) basketball nipped the host Algoma Wolves (Algoma, WI), 36-35 in Tuesday's league test.

The Pioneers (16-3) will now prepare for their test against Gibraltar (Fish Creek, WI). The Vikings go into the Packerland test with a 8-12 record. In their last test, Gibraltar got by Goodman-Pembine (Goodman, WI), 65-41, in a non-league test.

The Wolves now own a 13-9 record. They play next when they travel to Southern Door for a Packerland test on Thursday, February 1. Algoma will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 42-30 league win over Sturgeon Bay (Sturgeon Bay, WI). The Eagles record now stands at 6-13.
