Godley Wildcats (Godley, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Alvarado Indians (Alvarado, TX), 48-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, Godley upgrades its record to 23-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Life Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 4A Region II District 10 bout on Friday, February 2. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 6-20. Life Waxahachie lost 56-45 in their recent league bout against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, TX)

Next up, the Indians play the Kennedale Wildcats (Kennedale, TX) in a 4A Region II District 10 battle, on Friday, February 2. Alvarado will attempt to improve on its 17-15 season record. The Wildcats come into the battle with a 14-16 record after their 57-29 league loss to Godley (Godley, TX).
