Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA), 59-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Bassett upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Bengals travel to Halifax County (South Boston, VA) to clash with the Comets in a Piedmont bout on Friday, February 2. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 10-9. Halifax County lost 53-37 in their recent non-league bout against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Mecklenburg County Phoenix (Baskerville, VA) in a Piedmont bout, on Friday, February 2. Tunstall will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Phoenix go into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 57-24 league loss to Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA).
