Louisiana High School Basketball - Claiborne Academy can't hold off Briarfield Academy

The Briarfield Academy Rebels basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Claiborne Academy Rebels to 40 in the Rebels league victory on Tuesday.
The Rebels now sport a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central School for a MAIS 2A District 4 contest on Friday, February 2. Briarfield Academy will battle a Pioneers team coming off a 40-5 league win over Northeast Baptist (West Monroe, LA). The Pioneers record now stands at 3-16.
The Rebels (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Union Christian Academy (Farmerville, LA). The Lions come into the MAIS 2A District 4 contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Union Christian Academy was nudged by Riverdale Academy (Coushatta, LA), 58-8, in a league contest.
