Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bryan Vikings (Bryan, TX), 61-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Midway upgrades its record to 20-11 on the season. The Panthers travel to Weiss (Pflugerville, TX) to clash with the Wolves in a 6A Region II District 12 bout on Friday, February 2. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 1-24. Weiss lost 81-43 in their recent league bout against Bryan (Bryan, TX)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Hutto Hippos (Hutto, TX) in a 6A Region II District 12 bout, on Friday, February 2. Bryan will attempt to upgrade on its 26-4 season record. The Hippos go into the bout with a 14-18 record after their 45-38 league win over Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX).
