The Butternut Midgets basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Mercer Tigers to 38 in the Midgets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Midgets now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Shore for a Northern Lights contest on Thursday, February 1. Butternut will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 83-42 league win over Washburn (Washburn, WI). The Cardinals record now stands at 18-1.

The Tigers (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Drummond (Drummond, WI). The Lumberjacks enter the Northern Lights contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Drummond ran past Solon Springs (Solon Springs, WI), 51-42, in a league contest.
