John Paul II Catholic Saints (Greenville, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes (Wilmington, NC), 51-20 in a league bout.

With the win, John Paul II Catholic upgrades its record to 20-3 on the season. The Saints travel to Wayne Christian (Goldsboro, NC) to play the Eagles in a NCISAA Coastal Plain bout on Thursday, February 1. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 14-2. Wayne Christian won 63-37 in their recent league bout against Greenfield (Wilson, NC)

Next up, the Hurricanes play the Coastal Christian Centurions (Wilmington, NC) in a NCISAA Coastal Plain bout, on Thursday, February 1. Cape Fear Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Centurions go into the bout with a 5-14 record after their 36-34 league win over Arendell Parrott Academy (Kinston, NC).
