With the victory, Capitan improves its record to 7-13 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Tularosa (Tularosa, NM) to play the Wildcats in a 2A District 3 challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. Tularosa won 70-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM)

Next up, the Chiefs play the Lordsburg Mavericks (Lordsburg, NM) in a 2A District 3 challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Mescalero Apache will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 50-36 league win over Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM).
