East Central Cardinals (Tulsa, OK) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Claremore Zebras (Claremore, OK), 35-30 in a league bout.

With the win, East Central upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Bishop Kelley (Tulsa, OK) to play the Comets in a 5A District 3 bout on Thursday, February 1. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Bishop Kelley won 42-41 in their recent league bout against Collinsville (Collinsville, OK)

Next up, the Zebras play the Booker T. Washington Hornets (Tulsa, OK) in a 5A District 3 bout, on Friday, February 2. Claremore will attempt to upgrade on its 1-15 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 62-54 league loss to Tahlequah (Tahlequah, OK).
