In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Claxton Tigers (Claxton, GA) basketball squad edged the host Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs (Twin City, GA), by a count of 49-44.
The Tigers (5-16) will now prepare for their outing against Bulloch Academy (Statesboro, GA). The Gators go into the non-league outing with a 17-5 record. In their last outing, Bulloch Academy held off Frederica Academy (St. Simons Island, GA), 57-35, in a league outing.
The Bulldogs now hold a 1-13 record. They play next when they host Jenkins County for a A D2 Region 3 outing on Friday, February 2. Emanuel County Institute will clash with a War Eagles squad coming off a 36-31 league win over Montgomery County (Mt. Vernon, GA). The War Eagles record now stands at 9-10.
