Covenant Academy (Macon, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Twiggs Academy Trojans (Jeffersonville, GA), 58-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Covenant Academy upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The travel to Central Fellowship Christian Academy (Macon, GA) to play the Lancers in a GIAA AA Region 6 bout on Friday, February 2. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 15-7. Central Fellowship Christian Academy won 47-39 in their recent league bout against Trinity Christian (Dublin, GA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars (Louisville, GA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Twiggs Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 53-50 non-league loss to Edmund Burke Academy (Waynesboro, GA).
