Mohawk Mustangs (Marcola, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Crow Cougars (Eugene, OR), 40-16 in a league bout.

With the win, Mohawk upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Alsea (Alsea, OR) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Alsea won 37-34 in their recent league bout against Mapleton (Mapleton, OR)

Next up, the Cougars play the Eddyville Eagles (Eddyville, OR) in a 1A Mountain West bout, on Thursday, February 1. Crow will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 58-24 league win over McKenzie (Finn Rock, OR).
