Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) and the visiting Verrado Vipers (Buckeye, AZ), saw Desert Edge's basketball squad overcome Verrado by a tally of 38-20.

With the victory, Desert Edge improves its record to 15-10 on the campaign. The Scorpions travel to Westview (Avondale, AZ) to confront the Knights in a 5A Desert West challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 6-13.

Next up, the Vipers confront the Millennium Tigers (Goodyear, AZ) in a 5A Desert West challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Verrado will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 15-9 record after their 62-27 non-league loss to Hamilton (Chandler, AZ).
