Silverdale Academy Seahawks (Chattanooga, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host East Hamilton Hurricanes (Ooltewah, TN), 56-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Silverdale Academy upgrades its record to 24-5 on the season. The Seahawks host Signal Mountain (Signal Mountain, TN) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Signal Mountain won 80-12 in their recent league bout against Chattanooga Central (Harrison, TN)

Next up, the Hurricanes play the Ooltewah Owls (Ooltewah, TN) in a 4A District 6 bout, on Friday, February 2. East Hamilton will attempt to upgrade on its 17-10 season record.
