Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Flowery Branch Falcons (Flowery Branch, GA), 58-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Eastside upgrades its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Winder-Barrow (Winder, GA) to play the Bulldoggs in a AAAAA Region 8 bout on Friday, February 2. The Bulldoggs come into the bout with a record of 4-19. Winder-Barrow lost 54-36 in their recent league bout against Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA)

Next up, the Falcons play the Loganville Red Devils (Loganville, GA) in a AAAAA Region 8 bout, on Friday, February 2. Flowery Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Red Devils come into the bout with a 17-6 record after their 45-38 league loss to Jefferson (Jefferson, GA).
