The Gilbert Indians basketball team (Gilbert, SC), was routed 52-10 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC)
The Diamond Hornets now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Swansea for a AAA Region 5 battle on Friday, February 2. Lower Richland will battle a Tigers team coming off a 48-21 league loss to Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 5-11.
The Indians (13-9) will now prepare for their battle against Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC). The Bearcats come into the AAA Region 5 battle with a 5-12 record. In their last battle, Brookland-Cayce trounced Dreher (Columbia, SC), 35-29, in a league battle.
