Neville Tigers (Monroe, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Grant Cougars (Dry Prong, LA), 58-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Neville upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Tigers host Peabody (Alexandria, LA) to play the Warhorses in a 4A District 2 bout on Friday, February 2. The Warhorses go into the bout with a record of 3-23. Peabody lost 40-13 in their recent league bout against Grant (Dry Prong, LA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Franklin Parish Patriots (Winnsboro, LA) in a 4A District 2 bout, on Friday, February 2. Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 8-16 record after their 55-47 league win over Tioga (Tioga, LA).
