With the victory, Laurel improves its record to 21-3 on the campaign. The Golden Tornadoes host Stone (Wiggins, MS) to confront the Tomcats in a 5A Region 4 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Tomcats come into the challenge with a record of 15-11. Stone won 33-25 in their recent league challenge against Gautier (Gautier, MS)

Next up, the Oilers confront the Mize Bulldogs (Mize, MS) in a 2A Region 8 challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Heidelberg will attempt to improve on its 15-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 17-8 record after their 42-28 league loss to Richton (Richton, MS).
